Yes, lost all data on mine. Don't know whether you can back this info up in anyway. To be honest I never use any of those features on the app. I always back-up media straight from the cards to hard drives and flight logs are recorded via the trusty flight log book.

Had the same problem with mine. Deleted app and reinstalled and seems to be ok now.

They seem to have enough engineers to develop countless other products and rush them to the market. Maybe they should channel those employees efforts in the direction of ensuring the products they have released are up to scratch before they develop others!

It would be very interesting to hear an official reason from DJI as to why they implement this ability to shut down the motors while airborne. My personal opinion (not to say its correct) is I have not 'so far' heard of any really convincing scenario that would lead me to want to shut my motors...

All very interesting examples, thanks. It would be interesting to see how it all played out though in the heat of action with a lot of decisions to make in a very short time. You could be in a situation where it was very hard to tell whether you had strayed over people or not with depth...

A possible scenario I guess but if control is so limited that you can't stop it moving in a particular direction and/or make it descend is it going to respond to a kill motor command? All hypothetical I guess but worth imagining a possible scenario so a plan is in place if ever required.

Can someone be kind enough to describe a dangerous situation where it is prudent to shut off the motors while in mid air to create a safer situation. I am not being sarcastic and I'm genuinely intrigued to hear an example of this scenario from someone.

Maybe the Inspire was banked far forward enough to catch the rotors in shot despite being in the up position on some of the faster moves? Can't get mine to fly in FPV mode whatever I try and it always straightens the horizons. On the iOS app myself.
