    X5 on DJI Osmo

Does anyone know if there is a firmware issue with "hot" swapping the new osmo firmware updated X5 from shooting on the OSMO back to the Inspire 1? Or is a firmware update needed between?

I wonder if they will be sending these out to the handle kit folks.

    Whats gonna happen when.....

Just look to quad racing and you will see that not everything can be automated. If photography was so easy that everyone could do it I wouldn't have a job right now...

    Initial thoughts on X5

Totally off topic but I can't get into the 360 thing. Seems really gimmicky. I don't like that a dp/director isn't guiding your experience, losing some of that film magic.

DJI X5 looks great compared to sony a7 R2 (:-

I know this isn't an A7 forum but if you have any more A7 2 footage that you could link me too that would be awesome!

Hasselblad And DJI Form Strategic Partnership

Hasselblad sublicenses other manufactures stuff similar to leica. I'll wait and see but this could just be a branding thing for a higher end price point product aimed at the pro photography market.

    OK. Who Was It?

It doesn't have to cut a cable to knock the wire down all it has to do is bash the UAV into the hardware holding the wire. Props and or the UAV itself could dislodge a wire no problem. It's not even clear that this was an Inspire 1 I've seen stories with an s1000 pictured. Plenty of weight to...

Terrible Bent Horizon on New Inspire 1 Pro X5 DJI Lens

As stated before your horizon is skewed. If you first even that out then make the distortion adjustment you will be able to fix the image. It sucks a bit that DJI didn't include an in camera correction for the distortion. However, I'm pretty sure it would cost in processing power or even maybe...

    OK. Who Was It?

Yeah my guess is that the photo is not of the actual UAV.

    OK. Who Was It?

Drone Flies Into Electrical Lines, Knocking Out Power in West Hollywood All the local reports I have seen suggest the power line was knocked down. If you don't think a UAS could do that you are pretty naive. Stick your finger in your blades at full power and tell me how that works for you.

    OK. Who Was It?

It's bound to happen more. Power lines are very hard to see. A relatively small disturbance can short a line into another causing breakers to trip. However we probably don't need a registry that can log who did this to have them pay for damages. Right?

U.S Gov. to require drone registration

400ft limit technically isn't a law yet with its own punishment. Also DJI took it upon themselves to do the no fly areas. You can't however push TFR's over a network cause most of these UAS aren't internet connected while they are being flown. I think there should be a registry and mandatory...
