The only thing I don’t like so far is the waypoints option of having to basically fly the pattern while setting the waypoints as you go. Have a look at for example Auto Pilot, it is not free and has a steep learning curve, but is worshiped by many, including myself.

Probably a hand catch would hinder the crash, but it would not resolve the electrical failure with regard to the motor. Personally I don't think you would have had time to hand catch the Inspire safely in that particular situation. Sad the Inspire did what it did.

I think by default the C1 button under the controller is toggling pan/tilt functionality, and the C2 button resets the pan to FPV. If the C1 and C2 buttons are not working that way, there are options in the DJI Go application to change their behaviour.

Not 100% sure. I will try again with the AP, and if it fails again, I will fry a bit around with the DJI Go, setting the camera to take pictures every 2 seconds.It could be that the 2sec is too short, thus the software get confused.
