    Question for all

The altitude for an Inspire is calculated from a barometric altimeter, I believe...not from visual sensors or GPS like a P4P or Mavic. Gusty winds cause it to float up and down due to the rapidly changing pressure readings at the drone. I have had a hard time in gusty winds at low altitude but...

    Accurate drone height

I agree. It’s accurate but if winds are gusty the altimeter varies significantly. I live in an area with a lot of wind. This is very noticeable below 50 feet where the altitude can move up and down 10 feet or more when hovering during gusty conditions.

Micro SD Error, Formatting Problem - Inspire 1 Pro; X5

It looks like that was the problem. There was definitely a broken/bent contact inside the mount. I replaced the board and the cables tonight. I have gotten good image transmission every time I started it. I was also able to reformat and use all of the microSD cards that were previously giving me...

Micro SD Error, Formatting Problem - Inspire 1 Pro; X5

Agreed. I think I've eliminated just about everything else. Thanks.

Micro SD Error, Formatting Problem - Inspire 1 Pro; X5

Thanks! I had the problem again today but this time when I removed the camera one of the contacts in the quick mount for the camera was bent. It may have always been loose but I couldn't tell from looking until today. I ordered a new mount/board and ribbon cables. Hopefully that does the trick...

Micro SD Error, Formatting Problem - Inspire 1 Pro; X5

Hello. I've searched for this and haven't found a thread with this exact issue so hopefully this isn't a duplicate. I have had this happen several times but inconsistently. I will boot up the Inspire and either get a "No Image Transmission" error (I can see all other data and fly the drone...

Drone is bobbing up and down

I consistently notice a few feet of up and down drift with my Inspire Pro at low altitudes when it is windy/gusty. I believe there is a barometric altimeter in the drone and I figured it had to do with that but I'm not sure that's correct. I live in a windy area so I see it frequently.

USA Workers Comp savings with drone use

I subscribe to this blog. Thought this would be interesting to this group. I have only done photo/video work so far but would like to get my foot in the door with inspection work. Any resources or advise on where to start? Thanks. Drones cutting occupational accidents - Managed Care Matters

New firmware update v1.10.1.40. 2 for Inspire 1

I just upgraded my firmware. I tested CSC without props. If you use both sticks down and out or both sticks down and in the motors stop in 3 second. However, if you pull both sticks down and left or both down and right it takes about 1 1/2 seconds. I'm not crazy about the inconsistency. Not sure...

Inspire Pro X5 Freezing, won't record

Thanks, Bob. I will clear out my iPad, put it on airplane mode, and try a new cable. I'll let you know how it works out.

Inspire Pro X5 Freezing, won't record

I talked to tech support. They recommended I try it with a different device. I tried it with my iPhone 6s with much better results. I'll try again soon to confirm. Maybe it was a problem with my iPad. Thanks!
