I have an Inspire 1 V2 and the X5 camera. Should I be setting mine in 4:3 for best use of the sensor as well? How about for video production? It only makes sense to me to set it up the same way for both, but while I can easily crop stills for 16:9 frame size, I am not sure I can do this for...

With or without an ND filter on the lens, the balance is front heavy, and requires balance weight on the gimbal as shown in earlier pictures I posted. No need for a balance ring. The suggestion up above for BlueTac and coins as balancing weights is probably a good one. I am using lead weights...

I have my slave remote working again. I think the solution was that I had it set on a custom setting for gimbal control, and it may have not been doing anything. I reset for default control, and the slave is again able to control it - whew.

Here are some pictures of my balancing of the lens. I purchased lenses (both the 12mm and the 45mm) used, and the hood came with the 12mm, but fits both. Balancing weights are velcro attached, and purchased off eBay from a UK source. Hope this helps.
