Ralph, are the recommended attached batteries to be LiHV? I seem to remember reading somewhere that the stock battery is of higher voltage lithium. Definitely like the idea of battery redundancy as I've had a couple batteries fail and cause emergency landings.

I'd check the temperature of the motors when you land. One of the motors may be drawing excessive current. Have you tried loading your flight log into healthydrones? Perhaps more can be mined from the logs. I would seriously worry if I had that message.

Not to be argumentative or anything but the VPS and altimeter did know you were hovering 1ft off the ground. Perhaps the behavior is different when the inspire is at altitude. Not that I disagree with you. I have wondered that myself.
