Hobbyist shouldn't be tracked by FAA

Not getting the logic here. Irresponsible hobbyists are just that... Flying your drone at an airport etc. is not only irresponsabile but nefarious. Nefarious individuals arent going to openly make themselves "available" to the authorities by regestering or any other incremental public control.

Very little to be worried about using a carbon fiber props. They are almost used exclusively in IMAC - Home of Scale Aerobatics. Better performance, quite, long service life, etc. Most any prop will shatter if it hits an object. BTW - durability of a prop should not be based on how many nicks it...

Hobbyist shouldn't be tracked by FAA

Ok, couple of things here to clarify for the current time. Manned aircraft can legally fly below 400' if they are within the correct airspace and meet a number of criteria in the FARS (for ex. you cannot fly directly over people). Manned aircraft that legally and regularly fly below 400'- crop...

Hobbyist shouldn't be tracked by FAA

    A. Read your FARS. Not everyone flying full scale manned aircraft are required to have a transponder. B. Even with registration and/or transponders were required you would be a fool to think it would have any net effect to protect anything except faa jobs ar our expense. C. So if any airliner...

    Agricultural Opportunities

A few things to consider here: DURATION: The platform used to carry the sensor (s) must be able to cover many acres per mission. For example: The majority of US grain farms operate in terms of 1000's/acre per farm so covering 80 to 100 acre per mission won't cut it. You would need a whole wheel...

No GPS = No Video Feed ?

I'm a little new to this but can anyone tell me if there is any relationship between having no GPS signal and neither of the two video feeds? I'm able to fly the Inspire 2 on RC but have neither of the aforementioned. Conditions are overcast. Is this a factor?
