I had the same problem. I power cycled everything and the slave hooked up. This screen grab is from the DJI website, evidently, the slave connects to the master and the aircraft.

I'm supposed to receive mine also, but don't really think it'll happen. I ordered through Aerial Media Pros and haven't been very impressed with their follow through at this point. I'll touch base as soon as I receive mine.

Just thinking that someone with more grey matter than me might add some curvature to the inside of the prop guard creating a venturi effect that acts like a ducted fan, which in turn, could capture the lift loss at the propeller tips and make the whole system performance neutral or even slightly...
