Very very interesting. From memory it was about 4 to 6 weeks before the release date that FCC compliance papers appeared for the mavic. Let's hope the same holds true for the Inspire 2.

I guess we will see in 2 weeks whether DJI puts a cryptic image on their homepage with the words "coming soon" over the top.

It's pointless having sensors on the front and back as if you use the RTH function on the controller it will return to home forward facing. It's only useful if you fly backwards.

If you use the automatic return to home function all DJI drones return to home forward. Obviously if you come home manually you can come home whichever way you like.

Wait for the Inspire 2 then compare them both. Object sensing is a must on a drone so don't get the Inspire 1, I learned the hard way when my Inspire 1 drone clipped the top of a tree...

In my opinion object sensing is essential. My inspire 1 clipped the top of a tree when returning home, this would have never happened if it had object sensing. Some select few are allready testing the inspire 2. Like that mavic certain people have been sent pre release models to test.

Yep they are releasing the Mavic next week in response to the go pro karma being released today.
