I was able to downgrade the remote and re-upgrade it to the current version. Seemed to fix my connection issues and the drone is flying normally like nothing happened. Thank you everyone for your help!

Interesting, maybe I'll try v1.08.01.20 and see what happens. I've read information about the + sign having something to do with being connected to the internet, which I was when I tried the downgrades. Also my bin file remains as a zipped file, do I have to unzip it? When I double click it...
