I'm 28 and I have been flying/building model planes and copters since I was about 10 years old. I grew up in Chicago and my grandma worked at an airport(Chicago O'Hare) and would always take me to see planes. My Mother would also take me to the tarmac to watch the planes land and take off. This sparked a fire in me that could only be handled one way...start a hobby! I started getting into building and flying model aircraft. I then did everything I could to surround myself with anything that had to do with RC tech...planes, cars, copters...you name it.

When my family and I moved to Seattle in 2000(I would be 13 at this time) we had a neighbor was also heavily into model aircraft. I quickly made friends with this gentlemen and he taught me quite bit about flying model aircraft. I flew a wide variety of gas and electric based propulsion systems in that time. Flying a little gas powered, fixed wing plane going 120mph is pretty exhilarating and scary.

For as long as I can remember, I knew I was going to make a career out of flying...someway...somehow. I logged hours in a cesna(single engine) and wanted to be an actual pilot but those dreams were a far reach for me due to the amount of money it takes to get privately licensed. I went on flying for hobby for years and years until finally, one day drones started to make an appearance and becoming more of a reality for commercial use.

I had the idea of starting a business about two years ago. I remember because my daughter was born and I bought a little syma x5 to play around with in my down time of long hours at home taking care of the new baby. I quickly excelled at flight operations and was eager to move up. Funds did not allow for this much with the new baby so I started thinking about a business.

It was like a strong gravitational pull, pulling me into the industry. Almost like it was pure instinct to do so. I have spent quite a few hours getting to know my I2 and overcoming obstacles just like you all have. I just have yet to be active in any forum till now. I do still have my 9-5er which I am currently trying to kick once my partner and I get our business off the ground(pun intended) I love being a part of this industry and I want to give back as much as I can sharing knowledge and insight. I'm excited for what the future holds in this this revolutionary industry.
