    Capture software for M210

Yes, I don't think Mapper really cares about the M210 in terms of aerial photo processing - even if you manually flew around a shot a dense enough photo image matrix with sufficient overlap. The crux seems to be Capture - which is a very nice tool to integrate directly with Mapper Pro. Did...

    Capture software for M210

My sentiment exactly, I waited 6 months for the 210 to actually become available, spent a few thousand bucks so far in enterprise level PIX4D mapper (monthly) only to find out that what seems to be (one of) the best industry specific aircraft for our world (industrial level surveying and...

    Capture software for M210

I have been advised directly by PIX4D that they currently do not, and have no future plans to allow PIX4D Capture app to work with the M210. That sounds rather strange to say the least - but they are sticking with that story so far......, so I am asking if anyone knows of another current...

    Mapping Accuracy with IP

Ok, yes that was a bit vague.... 1. Is anyone in the drone world doing it? 2. Is it comparable to using ground control points (cm level) with traditional aerial photogrammetry? I understand it has been around for quite awhile, but have not heard of it yet in the context of flying drones.

    Mapping Accuracy with IP

OK, thanks - it is hard to understand the benefit (for me at least) to have RTK precision on your craft and not pass that through to what you are imaging???? But, there are many things I don't understand.... Bluelight - any comments of Direct Georeferencing in the drone world?

    Mapping Accuracy with IP

In reference to the M210RTK, why exactly is it that the accuracy of RTK is not available to the final orthomosaic? Obviously some basic accuracy geolocational data is within the image - to perhaps a couple meters, so can't (or isn't) the RTK data upgraded for use in the final product and...

Why should I buy the Inspire 2? Upgrade for P4

Well if that is the case, they just alienated about every professional surveyor on the planet.....

Why should I buy the Inspire 2? Upgrade for P4

Well this is interesting - I wonder if If can run it off my own base station for RTK?

    Orthophotos with Inspire 1

Alex, thanks for posting this - definitely going to read through. Do you guys support missions for DJI Inspire 2 yet? Also, (I am not familiar with UgCS obviously), but do you also do aerial image processing like PIX4D - which we are currently testing out on a month to month basis. Are you a...

    Video 101 anyone?

Ummm, yes sorry I did get you confused with someone else....I will blame that on my age.... Thanks for your input.

    Video 101 anyone?

All, Thank you very much for the replies - very helpful as I start to unravel this world. I have started a lot of reading and already understand some of my questions were a bit sophmoric - but ya gotta start somewhere.... There is a bit to learn here! Not to bounce all over the place, but in...

    Video 101 anyone?

I primarily do aerial photogrammetry, meaning just stills and not very familiar with the video world. Looking at an Inspire 2 (X5S) for this, but also what I guess would be called "recreational video" as I am an amateur at best here. With my P4 I currently shoot video in .MP4. I am not an...

Why should I buy the Inspire 2? Upgrade for P4

Are you talking Autodesk Recap 360 - one of my guys said they tried the demo about a year ago, and well I shouldn't type what he thought of it..... Maybe its improved now? Does it have flight planning, camera control etc., like PIX 4D? Not trying to be a PIX 4D cheerleader, but it is working...

Why should I buy the Inspire 2? Upgrade for P4

Hmmm, well we just use Bentley for civil road and site design, and AutoCAD Civil 3D, but wasn't aware that either of these could take a load of aerial photos (we often process several hundred) into a single stitched together mosaic. I'm not the CAD guy in the office however, so maybe I need to...

Why should I buy the Inspire 2? Upgrade for P4

Yes, the high accuracy survey side and data processing is mainstream in our business (Topcon GR5s, robotic total stations, etc.) and software wise, AutoCAD, Bentley, etc., so that part of the world is covered, and we can create DTM's etc. My main interest is in the photo quality and areal...
