I don't have any issues. in that video i turned around at 2.6km range, full signal and about 70% battery. Got a warning that i should return because my battery would get low when i got back. At landing i had around 43% battery left. dont think you should worry. :)

I have spoken to DJI and they are thinking about a option to choose Google Map on the iOS. Time will tell. :) Don't care too much now that Apple have updated the maps in my area.. Few months ago all was black \ white. :(

I would go as far and say it isnt safe to fly with out a phone\tablet connected to it, as you get a lot of information on the screen before and when flying. You don't have a smart phone that you can use?:)

Yup but afaik they don't answer support tickets that you make through DJI official. They help out on forums for sure. i could be wrong though :)

If your Bird is in the river, it sound more like something else than "RC shutting down"-error.. if RC shut down it would go to safe mode and return to home? Edit: Also, DJI doesnt look on this forum, so you would need to call or email them directly if you want proper answers.

If you right click the image and click a button named "Show image" or similar, you can see what webpage they are loaded from. In this case. http://giphy.com. Lot's of GIFS available there =)
