    Inspire 2 battery modification

Patscherpofel, How is this done? Sorry all, I've been away from the forums for awhile. I'm on my 3rd I2 after many problems (and dealing with DJI's repair service). I've been flying my latest I2 for about a month with no issues (finally) and haven't gotten around to re-installing the battery...

Help needed! X5S camera owners in Atlanta

I'm on my way there too, SanCap. I desperately don't want to, but I'm getting the same vibe from BeStem. I didn't care too much for GPC's reasoning that it isn't possible to make a landing mode backpack. The design from BeStem on how it can be done is in this thread! It should have been easy for...

    Cendence Controller

Casey, You could remove the stick on padding that is installed on the tablet holder and replace it with much thinner stick on padding. That should give you the 4mm you need so that the new iPad Pro would fit.

Help needed! X5S camera owners in Atlanta

Interesting. Did you have the I1? I recall going into travel mode did not work unless the downward facing cameras saw the ground. This forced you to have the I1 on the ground to go in and out of travel mode. I guess the I2 does not require this? I've actually never even tested it. I just assumed...

Help needed! X5S camera owners in Atlanta

Hmmmm.... I may reconsider the GPC case since at least the folding props fit. I just despise taking the camera on and off the drone. I don't like all the extra steps of going in and out of travel mode. I find that to be the biggest pain - especially in the field. For those of you with the GPC...

    Anyone tried these folding props?

Interesting. I think I'll give Bestem til the end of the summer to get their backpack produced, but then I may have to get the GPC. Getting the I2 into the GPC backpack with folding props installed is better than nothing. I still would prefer landing mode with the gimbal attached.

    Anyone tried these folding props?

I try to straighten out my props as much as possible prior to starting up the motors. The "shudder" is only slight and it goes away before the props spin fast enough to take off. I have 20 flights like this. No problems so far - but I am using different props than the ones used in this thread...

    Anyone tried these folding props?

I'm not in the 90's yet, but will be within the next few weeks. I haven't noticed any heat difference, but then again, I don't really notice motor heat unless the motor is in the "danger" range. A brushless motor needs to get extremely hot before something bad can happen. It would need to get...

    Anyone tried these folding props?

I thought about it, but it won't work for me. The I2 is wide. The vast majority of trails I ride are narrow with trees butting up against the trail. I "try" to ride more carefully when I have my drone with me, but then 5 minutes passes and I start to ride as if I don't have it on my back...

    Anyone tried these folding props?

LoL. Thanks. It's a mess right now. Too many projects at the same time and it doesn't help that I use my shop for all of my hobbies and my mountain bikes. The main advantage for folding props for me is speed and portability. It's only a matter of time before BeStem or someone else makes a...

    Battery Charging options

I already got them. They don't work. I tried. They have a small circuit board at the plug that goes into the battery. It has some sort of step down software to control the voltage and amps coming from the battery going to the controller. It won't work in reverse to charge a battery. It stops the...

    Anyone tried these folding props?

This is what I've been using so far and I personally like this setup. I had my Amazing Tech adapters from my Inspire 1. They are quite useful because they screw directly into the DJI motors with their odd 13mm spacing for the mounting screws (Industry standard being 12mm spacing). So, I have...

    Anyone tried these folding props?

The slight shudder is typical of folding props as it is difficult to get them completely "straight" when unfolding them. If they aren't straight, they are off balance and that causes the shudder. Centrifugal forces will pull them out straight and the shudder goes away. I highly doubt this...

LoL. I like how the first picture is of the coffee maker. Gonna need a cup prior to starting the motor replacement.

For anyone having difficulties getting stripped screws out of their motors, I suggest using a micro set of easy-outs. Alden 4507P Micro Grabit Broken Bolt Extractor 4 Piece Kit - Threading Tap Extractors - Amazon.com My first Inspire 2 didn't cause me any issues getting those screws out of...
