    UK The dreaded "congested area"

Westmister city council do not consider you have full control of a road unless you have a temporary traffic order in place to divert traffic even if it's at 05.00h

Downgrade Firmware from 1.3.0.00 to Firmware 1.2.1.06

Test flew mine on 1.9 and it was fine, but reading what is going on I'm just downgrading to 1.8. I also downgrade the RC to 1.5 but it then would not allow me to take off so just putting 1.6 back on the RC. I think I may just sell this lot and go for something else!!!!

Oh my head hurts... Having spoken to the guys at what was CAOSC my inspire didn't need an OSC Ahhh

    UK The dreaded "congested area"

Does a phantom need an OSC, I know a few guys with PFAW using them in congested areas for surveying and when they contact ATC prior to the fights they have no problems.

    UK The dreaded "congested area"

The annoying thing is, that having spoken directly to the CAA and told them exactly what I intended to do on numerous occasion and being in a class full of pupils at Eurousc, most of them needing to fly in congested areas, at no point has anyone say you have not got a cats chance in hell of...

    UK The dreaded "congested area"

I know you were not taking a pop at my skill as a pilot.. My point is, part of the risk of a UAVs over congested area are flyaways etc. If one could create a case where our machines have parachutes, which would almost negate the kinetic energy if the fall, plus tether them to avoid flyaways the...

    UK The dreaded "congested area"

The CAA graph is all well and good but the closer one is to building the less kinetic energy if things go wrong. A inspire falling on a roof from 50m will do far more damage than one from 10m plus the one from 50m+ will have the potential of damage over a greater area rather than hitting the...

    UK The dreaded "congested area"

I really think there should be a system where small uavs with parachutes and perhaps even tethered are able to work to congested areas easily if the operators are qualified with PFAW. After all the CAA are fully aware that most operators will be using UAVs for structural surveying as part of...

How would that complexity graph work it one used a phantom with a parachute, 2kg max.

    UK The dreaded "congested area"

My point about control af a building is hypothetically, if I have control of entrance/exits and so on I can fly within the specified limits. Surveying work is close proximity work, for detailed images one would have to be within 15m of the roof/ structure.
