Update:
I tried my android phone again with a newly installed DJI Go app. Got it to update the RC firmware. All is well.
Happy / annoyed.
Others having problems, perhaps uninstall and reinstall app?
UAVSA is doing my paperwork ($500). Mine were turned in in September. I don't want to bother them--I've called once to "check in on my status"..and they say wheels are in motion...so I'm just waiting too. :(
Same thing happened to me today. Tried updating via the android app. Downloaded RC update and then failed doing the update.
Went to the DJI site, got the firmware--tried it with the SD card routine. Nothing. Tried controller reset..nothing.
Light blue light on the controller (far left LED)...
remember a few months back when DJI promised 3 months for waypoint/POI, etc? Or did they just say "real soon"..lol.
That was nice of them to promise that. So nice!;)
So sorry to reply late..just seeing this now. No, I have had no issues like that. I strap it on, and ping it with the Trakimo app (android) before I take off, and it always shows up in the app within 15 seconds.
I'm going to try and make this as short as possible.
1. I crashed my I1 in April. Gimbal popped off, battery broken out of back, no arms broken, no case cracks, all 4 props broken. Best I can describe the crash is: I pushed the sticks left and it went right into some branches and fell about 10...
