    Droners.IO featured pilots

I kinda feel bad for pilots that are trying to make a go of it with just a drone. My company has been doing high end video production and photography work for 30+ years. We initially sub-contracted out the drone work until it was more lucrative to do it ourselves. Our Inspire Pro X5 is just one...

Dorado Boats Fall Classic Fishing Tournament

Nice. I grew up in Dunedin. Beautiful beaches and islands to explore. Usually fish off Anclote Island. Dunedin Beach was spectacular back in the 60s & early 70s then dredging of Hurricane Pass ruined much of the beach on Honeymoon Island. Still beautiful though. Thanks for posting!

    Wide angle lens ? 7.5mm

Y You bought one from Adorama? I would check with customer service to make sure you are not back-ordered. Maybe you got lucky - on the phone and on the "chat box" they confirmed that they were out of stock and did not have a delivery date yet.

Thanks Casey - they are out of stock too

    Wide angle lens ? 7.5mm

Does anyone know where I can buy the Laowa 7.5 ultralight lens? Every supplier I have tried is out of stock and waiting...

I got my first paying job.

Yes - If you are marketing your services to residential RE agents plan on going on an extended fast. There is almost no money there. There are exceptions but they are rare as rooster lips. You have to look at who is making big money and target that industry. If you can find a niche in a big...

I got my first paying job.

"Did I do the right thing with the "low ball" estimate?" Impossible to say without a $ number and better description of what you delivered. Also, just a wee bit of advice, once you do a job for a certain amount you have set the standard for that client - they will almost never pay more for...

    Show Me The 'REAL' Money...:-)!!!

Dejan pretty much nailed it. And I would add that some of us have been around since the medium of choice for producing was film. Then when the digital format advanced enough to be a viable alternative, and was much cheaper to use, the wannabees came swarming in calling themselves "professionals"...

    RAWS -Charging For?

When you call yourself a freelancer - you are basically saying SUBcontractor and as such you would not have any rights to the footage. Your name is not on the original contract. The ad agency you are working for is the contractor and would hold those rights under normal circumstances - unless...

USA 90 Days notice is insane for Part 107

The first question the tower will ask you is: "Is this a commercial or recreational flight?" If your answer is commercial, their response will be - "You need to get clearance through the FAA." If you your answer is recreational their response will be: "No problem. Let us know when you're done...

    I'm done with Dronebase

I have zero experience with Drone base and have zero desire to. And from everything I have read about them on this forum - they are doomed to fail. The first major incident with an unqualified, unlicensed, uninsured pilot flying in restricted airspace and they are toast.

    RAWS -Charging For?

It's all about your "contract" or "production agreement" as I like to call it. If you don't have a legal and binding document signed by both you and the client then it gets sketchy. I never do a shoot without one. Our standard production agreement states that we will provide a "finished...
