Really good info, thanks everyone. It seems as long as you get a NEW Ultra CS you are good and only the old ones have overheat issues.

Samsung Tab A is not the answer...bummer. I will press on with the cooler and iPads this week and order a CrystalSky. Thanks again for everyone's advice.

I ended up buying a Samsung Tab A for immediate use. I will give you an update on how it performs. I'm not expecting much, but we will see *fingers crossed*.

Just checked and tomorrow is supposed to be 111 in Phoenix. Not sure if that's where you are and you have time to fly, but it would definitely be a great test. Regardless, 106 and no issues is kick burro!

Nope, South Texas...but I lived in Phoenix and Tucson area for a number of years so I know the heat you deal with. Worse than here.

Don't really have to worry about the freezing temps here in South Texas, but good info on upper limit temps. My iPad Mini 4 gets so warm running the DJI app I think it would be good down to -20 as well. ;)

Gotcha, ya my biggest issue is overheating. I can deal with the sun glare...hoods and shade. Thanks for the input.

Glad it works for you...in high temps, 95+? Also by HD shades are you referring to a hood? I just cant see spending $800 and not getting a CrystalSky at this point, as Apple has let me down too many times. I'm actually still paying Sprint for my iPad Mini 4 which is worthless in high temps.

By the picture it looks more than 20%, but I'll take your word. No issues on overheating for either? Whats the hottest you've had them outside for?
