Final and detailed guide on X5 "lens calibration"

Wide angle lenses always give greater depth of field as do small sensors (MFT) hence f5.6 is equivalent to f11 approx. Not sure why you want to go to all of this hassle, I calibrate at 50m approx and switch to AF, then tap on the critical focus point and the lens focuses there. You can't get...

Final and detailed guide on X5 "lens calibration"

I would like to clarify the opening statement re Hyperfocal point on a drone. Hyperfocal point is made by calculating the point where average focus is achieved between two points at a given aperture, unless the lens has these points marked on the lens and you manually set focus by hand to...

Final and detailed guide on X5 "lens calibration"

It's pretty good, very good if no processing has been done, but could go sharper with the correct processing. You can only judge sharpness at the point of focus and only you know where that is.

Not happy with X5 quality of pics. Advise pls.

This is an example of the capability of the X5 MFT, shot in raw and PP to A2 reduced to a tiny jpg 7mb, this is my first picture from a new Inspire X5.

Tested today at 27c indoors so no cooling air and the pitch gimbal got noticeably warm, I was panning and pitching as you would do for around 5 mins with an unbalanced lens. therefore I would say unless you were going crazy in the wind and balanced it should be no problem. Thanks Sean

No I am a stills photographer so not a lot of gimbal work and I have balanced the lens to the gimbal.

    Lens setups

I am getting some strange actions with my Sigma 19mm under the latest firmware in camera, controller, GO app and inspire. It seems to identify the lens fine and focus in video and still fine, but loses aperture under Video and Still, it records Video and saves, in Photo mode it gives a black...

Torgeir, a great shot, probably the best quality I have seen from an Inspire to date, what processing did you use to get this level of sharpness and what settings on the lens did you use. Thanks Sean
