suspected gimbal damage

When the Inspire Pro X5 is set up with the default equipment,,, i.e. 15mm lens, ND filter and lens hood, should the gimbal balance perfectly in static mode that is without power? I own other camera gimbals and they also require static balance. I am pretty sure that it should. Mine is dropping...
