I've tried to turn off e-mail notification, but I keep getting them.

I get e-mail notifications regarding threads I'm contributing to or originating. I've gone into preferences and unchecked all references "receive email notifications of replies". It didn't stop the e-mails.

OK, try this
Log right out of the forum and clear your cookies.
Log back in and immediately go into your profile and update you preferences.
Then log out again.
Next time you log in it should work........ I hope.

No, just wanted to try it with the Alerts alone (the little red flag in upper right-hand corner). May have to turn them back on, eventually.

Sorry you were having this issue. I updated your account to disable site mailings. Let me know if this fixes it.
