Can you use the Phantom 3 remote to control the Inspire camera/gimbal?

I know not officially, and I know you wouldn't get the video feed or GPS capability, but I'm wondering if anyone has hacked it and found that it can control the camera/gimbal? I can't see why it wouldn't work...

Phantom 3 remote doesn't have 5.8ghz to link to the Inspire remote (which is how camera control is achieved) - so no.

Inspire remote will work with Phantom 3 though.
