Cannot get edited videos on to my IPAD..anybody any idea

I shoot the video, it goes on to my Macbook Pro where I edit it. I export it as a mov file to my desktop.
Now I want to transfer it to my iPad Air. I have Yosemite OS and I can Airdrop to my iPhone no problem but when I Airdrop to my iPad it says it's sending, there is a progress bar, my iPad says it's receiving with a progress bar, but the file never appears on my iPad , so where's it gone ??
I've tried it at 4K, 1080p, mov and mp4 files, but none work. Even very small video don't work. The only thing that will Airdrop are JPEG photos.

Hi there, yes but they don't appear there even after the Mac says sent. I don't know where the videos have been sent. They are nowhere in the photos app.
The only thing that gets sent over are photos.

Maybe just too big. You should rather transfer them through iTunes, either by syncing or just transfer them to a player app.

I had issues with "the cloud." Not too happy with it but if you must, my issue was that both mac and iPad were not running the most recent software for mac.

Check in Videos and then click "Home Videos".
