Partly I expect but also stems from the Queen's Speech in May where DfT were given a mandate to embrace future technology:

"Modern Transport Bill
 New rules to bring safe commercial and personal drone flight for households and businesses a step closer."

We really need to start engaging with these more.... the number of responses from the drone sector to something that will affect us all wasn't great. If we don't stand up for ourselves, then we'll be walked over by the likes of GA, Balpa etc

(Don't let the same happen with the BSI and their attempt to get their noses in the trough too... see below.)
