Have found that in almost all Fly Aways the Gimbal not hold the horizon and thus virtually switches to FPV mode. Maybe the experts from DJI can indeed what to do with this information !

It is not FPV mode. It is the gimbal getting erroneous compass information. This coupled with how the gcu interprets this data results in a skewed horizon.

It definitely speaks for a compass error in Fly Aways.

This is not new and was already discussed often, however, the question arises whether it is really useful to recalibrate before each flight the compass.

This has been discussed many many times on this forum.
Please use the search feature and you will find numerous threads debating the compass calibration subject.
I would prefer this thread not to degenerate into another 'should we,should we not calibrate' type discussion.

Thanks.

Ok .. sorry .... maybe a admin can delete this thread !

No worries, I will keep this thread open for anyone who wants to comment but didn't want it to go down the 'Should we, should we not calibrate' route again. :)
