Saw this on ebay selling at the official DJI store.
Says it is to connect an XT to the Matrice 200.
But it looks like you could use it to attach an X5 or a Z3 to an Inspire 2 as well.

Correct, this adapter is solely used for mounting the Zenmuse XT on Matrice 200 series aircraft. With the this adapter you can physically mount the X5 and Z3 on the aircraft however there is no functionality. This does not allow compatibility with any other cameras on Inspire 2.
If dji was smart they would make the newer models able to run the older cameras. Only reason I have not upgraded as I’m sure why many others have not also. Fail on their part and they probably do not even realize how negatively it effects them.
