I'm a part 107 UAS pilot and have flown in plenty of class B/C/D airspace including Air Force airspace, but my company wants me to fly for a client in Capitol Heights, MD which falls inside the Washington D.C. SFRA and this is the most challenging application I've ever done. I doubt I'll get approved, but my question is this: if I am lucky enough to get approval from FAA and TSA for this, is it possible to even get a custom unlock from DJI for this airspace? I've gotten custom unlocks before without any issue but this one sketches me out a little bit.
The other thing that's weird to me is that my location is just on the other side of the highway from Andrews Air Force Base, but now that I'm looking at the DJI Geo Map, it's only showing it as a Warning Zone so theoretically I wouldn't need an unlock at all as long as I have FAA/TSA approval?
I'm just sketched out by the whole thing... flying that close to DC, even with approval. I'm curious if anyone else has flown in the area and has any tips / advice?
