Inspire 1 Antenna Cable Repair

During an attempted motor swap on my inspire 1 pro...the Antenna Cable in the landing gear separated from the Antenna Receiver. To replace the cable (becuase DJI isn't smart enough to allow any extra slack) a new cable would have to be ran all the way back to the center of the bird. I have purchased an extra landing gear base with the antenna cable attached. Could I connect a new Antenna via connector and or solder to extend it an inch or so at the base making it long enough to reattach to the Antenna Reciever or would that cause a loss in signal? I just don't want to tear the whole arm off and run a new cable from start to finish.

why not just soldier the cable back on? but yea running a new cable prob better

Because they don't leave any extra cable and it pulled probably an 1/8" to 1/4" off of wire when it separated.
