Mate if you can get away with a grand then your a genius....almost cheaper to buy a new one. Anyway if you want the part I have it $500 AUD

Thanks mate,
However my repairer was also my UCC instructor, so he does all his student's repairs at cost.
His cost for that part is a little more than your price, but he's local and I'll be back in the air a lot quicker, but I wish I was more flush with money so I could grab it as spares.

If you purchased from B&H Photo that part is $387 plus $60. labor...

Thanks for that. However;
I assume that B&H being a US dealer that those prices are in US $
We are talking in AUS $ at the moment.

It's still only about $478AU though, so it is a tiny bit cheaper than brand new is here, but add postage to send it here and that saving erodes a lot more and takes forever.
