Ipad Mini 1 Incompatible?

I have the original iPad mini, I just noticed on the DJI website that it only supports iPad Mini 2 and 3. Any reason that may be? It has a lightning connector. Specs possibly? I guess my iPhone 6 will do for now if the original iPad mini is incompatible. Has anyone out there flown with the iPhone 6?

I just tried my iPad Mini today anf there is high latency, a few second delay, all pixilated, same image shows up 3 spots (dog when walking) would be impossible to fly FPV. Just figured this out tonight. Kinda upset I didn't know, not that I wouldn't be flying this awesome machine anyway

The processor is not fast enough so you will get major lag in video play back

Someone else read it needs to be A7 processor, which mini isn't.

I pad mini 2-3 are iPad mini 1 is not.

Correct, you need at least the iPad Mini Retina

The faster the processor the less latency. Take your pick.
