No X5S camera panning capability?

Why can we pitch the cam, but not pan it without yawing the I2?

Switch the gimbal to free mode and you can. There's an icon to toggle the mode on the left if the Dji Go 4 screen. In follow mode, the yaw of the camera is locked to that of the aircraft so it moves 'with' the aircraft, follow mode is the default mode.

You can pan the camera by pressing C1 simultaneously while moving the dial, even in Follow mode. DJI brought back this ability in Follow mode a few firmware updates ago...

I disovered that C1 trick, but it makes solo camera operation challenging. Left hand to hold c1, roll the gimbal movement, and control the joystick. I preferred the I1 Pro method where you can set C2 to toggle pan or tilt for the gimbal control.

yep the original go app was heaps better with functionality , and the layout to pick your video modes has gone back in time on the 4 compared to the original go app.
