NTSC or PAL in Australia?

It doesn't matter. If you select PAL then you get multiples of 50 fps, if you select NTSC then you get multiples of 60 fps. It matters not unless your frame rate target is for broadcast TV and you need a specific frame rate for the standard.
Aus is PAL as far as I know though.

If its not for a spesific broadcast application then higher framerate is always smoother for video aka NTSC
