can you snap a photo while taking video. It can be done on my yuneec 500

If you take a photo while recording video, it will stop the video from recording. You manually have to start recording again. Not ideal.

Unless there's the option like the Gopro, video and pictures (every few sec)

There isn't. However if you're shooting 4K a screenshot from the video is about the same as a photo would be (albeit forced in 16/9 ratio).
