Proper FAA procedures when selling a drone?

I'm selling my Inspire 1 and wondering of any specific guidelines necessary to transfer registration with the FAA. To avoid liability of course.. Is it a simple process, online form to fill out, etc..? Thanks in advance!

As far as I know it’s up to the buyer to register the drone with the FAA.

Log into your FAA drone zone account. Select "Manage Inventory" and you can then cancel the registration on the drone.

Is it required to sell the drone or more of an advisement? I'm particularly curious in the case of someone who is deceased and was previously the registered pilot; should the FAA be notified?
