Radio comm with multiple uav flyers

Some nights out in Hawai'i I see multiple uavs flying around, scan through the radio channels seeing if anyone is on so we can communicate. No response, I always keep one eye on the other aircrafts but wonder if anyone even attempts to use radios to keep in communication with other flyers especially when they may be out of earshot or line of sight. Looked through threads but didn't see anyone talking about communication
