Random Video noise/interference - also on file

I had a bit of interference visible on the camera whilst I was filming in the last half hour before sunset tonight, so light was low. I thought it was probably video interference. But I'm surprised to see that it is also on the recorded file.

Any ideas what might be causing it?

That is a tremendous amount of noise.

My guess is that you are in manual mode, with camera settings appropriate for bright sunshine.

Or a defective camera.

I've since found out that my inspire is faulty - my intermittent red LED on the front right leg. Pretty annoying, and will undoubtedly have to send it back. Perhaps I've got a dodgy camera too?! I've not had the problem since, but I haven't flown it in dusk since so who knows. If I send it back, I will ask them to check it (!)
