Red / sometimes Blue dot on the map ??

Title pretty much says states my question. I get a circle on my map, sometimes it is red, sometimes it will be blue, have a few guesses what it is but would like to know for sure.

I am running the Pilot App on an IPAD Mini 2.

Red dot is poor GPS fix on your controller.
Blue dot means good GPS fix and allows you to set dynamic home point.
