Sensor Cleaning

Those of you who are fairly new to digital photography and/or have never had an interchangeable lens digital camera may not understand that the sensors on these things are dust magnets. Having been a pro photographer when real full frame sensors arrived in SLR's, I can attest to how much time I spent cleaning dust from my then state-of-the-art Canon 5D.

It appears that every camera on the market now boasts sensor self-cleaning, that is all, except the sensor on our X5's.

Has anyone here found a best way to clean these things? I'm guessing Sensor Swabs and fluid...but I'd be open to hearing any other techniques.
Yup those type of cameras dont have built in sensor cleaning, its really annoying seeing dust almost everytime I check the sensors. Thats why I dedicated myself on finding a product that I can trust and is effective in cleaning it. Found Sensor Swabs from Photographic Solutions online and it is a blessing for me. It is really easy to use and cleans instantly with no hassle. Thats why I don't worry on cleaning my camera anymore. Hope my comment helps

I have been cleaning my camera sensor for years and what works for me is using Photographic Solutions cleaning supplies. I first blow the sensor using the HEPA Orbit Blower then using the sensor swabs gently swipe the sensor with the Eclipse Solutions. Thats how i clean my camera and the its working for me. I hope it helps

The X5S camera sensor is enclosed with a filter layer above the sensor. You can clean the filter layer top surface but due to the design and lack of sealing the camera often gets dust bunnies from careless lens cleaning between the sensor and the filter layer. The only way to fix it is to find a technician with a clean room and microscope to disassemble and properly clean all surfaces. I found a technician that did two X5S’s for me and properly sealed the sensor like DJI should have in the beginning. My technician inspects computer chips during the manufacture process for a living and converts digital cameras to infrared on the side.
