We have been in a serious... and I mean serious drought for the past few years... the docks that you see in this video were sitting on dry land about 30 days ago. It has rained all month, and more that I have seen in years. The town I work in was in stage 5 water restriction.. No outside watering of any kind was permitted. Fines started at $500 first offence, $1000.00 for your second, and $1500.00 and jail time for your third offence. We have certainly been fortunate to receive all of this rain. 3-6 more inches are predicted for the next couple of days. The first lake (Waurika) was at 28% capacity on May 1st. It is now at 62% and climbing.
