hey all. Looking for advice on my problem. I’m a former mavic pilot, traded to an inspire 1 and find myself lost on this one. My Master controller (at least, the controller that is currently SET to master, works fine) however my slave controller will not power on, nor will it indicate the battery level when punching it once. BUT, when it’s plugged into power it indicates the level is full, will turn on, and will function properly AS the slave.....but only while it’s plugged into power.

I’ve scowered the manual, checked resources online, but can’t seem to find much in the way of solutions.

Help!!

It sounds like the battery in the remote has failed. There are videos out there explaining disassembly of the remote and replacing the 2 cell Lipo battery that is installed. As a work around you can purchase this cable and operate the remote from a spare I1 battery. It is part of the DJI Remote Controller Cable Kit.

Lol I figured. I got the inspire second hand and when he went to turn on the slave controller, it wouldn’t and he just simply said it needed charging. When I got it home, I found the very same cable in the case and wondered wtf, then sorta pieced it together based on what I Used to do with my Mavic and the adapter from the flymore combo, but I wasn’t sure if maybe I was missing something.

Thanks for the help!!

Operating with the cable and another battery is doable but an extra step and something else to carry. If you are interested in a functional used Inspire 1 remote, we may be able to help.
