The stunning round-the-world attempt solely by the solar-powered Solar Impulse 2 is likely to spend 2 to 3 weeks in Hawaii before completing its trans-Pacific journey. It seems that its massive capacity LiPo batteries suffered heat damage on the 5 day flight from Japan. And we think we have battery issues!

Reading the article and other sources... it's a design issue (my opinion)
They don't have a good heat management system in place...
In their zeal to keep the batteries warm at high altitude...
They managed to cook em at low altitude...
