Question. Would I be making a mistake going the 16gb route for the IPAD Mini or Air 2 instead of the 64? Will there be that much memory needed for storing maps and such? Just trying to save a few bucks.

The 16GB iPad will be plenty as long as you do not plan on caching the videos on the iPad as you're flying. It's generally not a good idea to cache videos on the iPad since it can negatively affect the performance of the DJI GO app.

Thanks for your prompt reply. I am currently looking at the I1x5 and want to have as much current info as possible. Been flying a TA Matrix for a couple of years for our aerial imaging. Sorry to let it go but DJI seems to have a great product at the moment especially with the I1x5
