Tripod mode alternative?

As the DJI GO app does not have as many fancy auto flight options as the Go4 I was wondering if using the beginner mode might have a somewhat similar effect? The range limit might spoil that however, I suppose.?

Couldn't you try the softest EXP settings and minimum gains? That's all that Tripod mode does actually.

Sure, DJI could easily add that to Go3. But I'm afraid we're forgotten by now.

You could make a custom setting in Go (am I right?). Long time since I messed with the gains and EXP's. Simply choose that one every time you need tripod behaviour. You would still have full throttle available at the endpoint, which is great for safety. In real tripod mode it crawls at best. Not safe when a situation develops in a split second.
