V1-V2 landing gear motor

Can the two motors be interchanged? Anyone have any success?

you mean the center that lifts/lowers the arms? if so yes you can switch and use either style. but just swapping the motors sucks cause the screws have a lot of lock tight on them and snap rather easy. swapping the whole center frame seems to be the best bet

I am wondering... received another Inspire 1 today. Was told it is a V2, but has uncovered screw for raising and lowering the legs. Is the boot just missing or are there ones with exposed screws?

boot may be missing. can you post a picture?

mine is 2016 I1 and has no boot cover, it's just been to DJI for major service and they replaced a lot of things but not a screw cover.
