Will V2.0 Lightbridge Module Work on a V1.0?

My V1.0 cpu/lightbridge module went out. Wondering if I can upgrade it to V2.0 module? If so will I have to change out the motors and esc's as well?

I do not believe so as they are a different transmission protocol.
