Z30 video jello

Jello (aka Rolling Shutter) generally is the result of lack of damping from the the rubber shocks. Anytime you see this effect it usually can be fixed with better shock balls. On my I2 last winter I did some filming at -20F. When I pressed are on acceleration I would get jello. This was because the rubber had become stiff with the cold. Try replacing your shocks with new ones. The gimbal of the Z30 (or X30) should not be the problem.

Very interesting - didn't even think to blame the rubber mounts. I've had this happen (at a much less effect) for summer shoots. Haven't noticed this in winter shoots. Wonder if there are any other factors that contribute.
