I just bought my secondary lens for my I2 and differed my zoom lens for the time being. Apparently, when you attach the zoom, the connectors activate the zoom features down stream from your lens telling Go4 that it needs to display the zoom function on your display. That's my understanding of it anyway.

The Olympus 14-42 zoom lens is recognized on the I1 using the DJI GO app and it automatically displays the zoom functionality on screen.
