Once you start looking for it a great many inspire videos show this effect where on take off things are level but it tends to drift out after a turn or two. I noticed it quite early on and still seems a common problem.

With the Phantom 2 batteries on newer firmware they self discharge at ten days so that's a start point. Ideally less than a week though. Longer than that they want to be on about 50%. Leaving them low is probably just as bad as full.
