An update from DJI. They are now providing the repair free of charge. Good customer service in the end...

Just an update..... DJI tell me it is the main board at a cost of 330 Euros! they told me this within a couple of hours of receiving it back. This is despite them telling me on the phone that there should be no charge to 'unbrick' it. Like many other posts I have seen, the camera worked...

Unfortunately I have tried this but it failed. I believe it failed due to the failure of installing the firmware the first time and that it is 'bricked' so back waiting for my UPS label to arrive! :-( Thanks anyway

Thanks but it is definitely the issue with the X5, not the App. I believe it is probably bricked which is very frustrating. It seems crazy that there is no way of rolling back the firmware on it but I can;t find any way to. Anybody have any other ideas?

Ok, so my problems seamed to start today when I put a new Olympus 14 - 42mm EZ on the X5. I'm using a 1 V2 Inspire with an X5 which I presume makes it a Pro? I updated the firmware on everything and it is now telling me Android App : 3.1.43 Version 1.11.01.50+ Camera 1.11.1.50 Remote 1.7.80...
