Cash for Tops - $10 US per Battery Tops TB47, TB48 - old batteries

I need a few tops with circuit boards so I can try out some battery reset procedures...

    Odd 11.1V TB47 Batteries?

If they are fake.. Someone spent a lot of time to make them identical yet get the numbers all wrong.

    Odd 11.1V TB47 Batteries?

Hi, Someone is selling these "new" TB47's near me. I was going to pick them up but they have 11.1V nominal and a capacity of 2200 mAh. What the hell are these?

Cash for Tops - $10 US per Battery Tops TB47, TB48 - old batteries

Hey there, if anyone has more EOL batteries I am interested in tops and the circuit boards as well.

    Dead TB47

But.. Could you power it on and see the battery details in DJI go? If not then the BMs chip is/was in a 'perminant fail' condition (for safety) and would not permit use or charging unless it's is reset.

In this case, I would say manually balance all cells to the same level. I would choose 3.8V. If you cannot reach each cell pack then the balance lead is a good bet. If it Powers on then this may be all you need to do. Not sure how long it will last.

Not sure yet, find the BMS chip on the PC and email them to ask if that chip has been reset in the past. If not, I think they will need to guide you through dumping the original chip firmware for them to analyze. I was in discussions with them about Mavic batteries.

    Dead TB47

Are all the cells about the same voltage? If it discharged too low, the battery management IC has likely gone into PF (perminant fail) condition. Others with phantom batteries have used the SCL SDA communication bus to reconfigure the battery IC and clear the flag. It depends on the IC used...

    Re-celling inspire batteries

Regarding the BMs pcb and the battery control IC, it may be possible to hack into the chip and reprogram for the capacity, cycle count,.. Or to clear the 'permanent fail' condition that occurs when the discharge too far. This has been done with Phantom 4 batteries. Most of this work seems to be...

    TB48 (Inspire) v TB48S (Matrice)

I am happy to swap boards if it means a fresh TB48. I am sure we can use some battery BMS chip software to reset the cycle count as well. Thanks for the proof of concept.

    Tb47 vs tb47s batteries

Hey thanks,. I just found it and will continue there.

    Tb47 vs tb47s batteries

I am considering doing this for a TB47D or TB47s in the Inspire 1. I suspect all that is needed is to swap over the top cap?.. Not sure if it is that simple but battery options are running low and this could work well.
